The Brief
An attached duplex with a bold industrial aesthetic, featuring contrasting materials like black cladding and grey-off white face brick.
Each unit faces opposite sides of the street, creating an asymmetric yet cohesive design. The project will focus on strong, modern lines, with a urban feel that still offers a functional, comfortable living environment.
Key Features
Exterior Materials:
- Black Cladding: Use sleek black metal or composite cladding to create a striking, modern façade with an industrial vibe. This material will contrast against the face brick and add an edgy, urban look.
- Face Brick: Incorporate grey-iM shire face brick for a textured, rough finish that anchors the design with a sturdy, industrial appeal. The brick will add warmth and depth while complementing the black cladding.
- Industrial Accents: Exposed metal features, large windows to enhance the industrial feel, creating a statement exterior that stands out.
- Colour Scheme: Neutral tones, primarily greys, blacks, and muted shades, with subtle metallic accents to maintain the industrial aesthetic.
Interior Design:
- Industrial Style: Raw, unfinished materials like concrete look floors, steel accents, and exposed beams will be featured, giving the interior a modern, urban feel.
- Minimalist Interiors: Sleek, clean lines and functional design with a focus on maximizing space and light. Neutral, muted tones throughout the interior to balance the bold exterior.
- High-End Fixtures: Use of quality materials for cabinetry, flooring, and fixtures that complement the industrial theme, including matte black or brushed steel finishes.
